Phoenix Day Hexter 2

Students explore the Olympic and Paralympic Museum in Downtown Colorado Springs!

Colorado Springs, CO - On Friday, October 30th, students went to the Olympic and Paralympic Museum to learn all about strength and determination in all of its forms. It just so happened that it was also Costume Day for Spirit Week! That's why you see most students and staff members dressed up. As we toured the museum, we were able to learn about the Olympic and Paralympic athletes that competed, and also interact with the various touchless activities they had inside. To finish our field trip, an ACTUAL Paralympian was kind enough to be a guest speaker for our group! Today was a great opportunity for students and staff to remember our mission: To maintain a community of learners focused on academic achievement and the development of personal and social skills necessary for successful living. What a fun and adventurous field trip for Discovery!
