For this Hexter 6 Field Experience, students visited Puenlo for the Riverwalk and El Pueblo Museum! The first half of the day was spent exploring the Riverwalk and learning about some of Pueblo's environmental and cultural history. We were able to take a detour to the Center of American Values where we watched a short video on veterans of the Vietnam War from our region.
After lunch, we walked to the El Pueblo Museum to learn what the Steel City was all about! We were led on multiple tours throughout the museum by very knowledgeable guides. From agriculture to the steel mill, to famous artist Frank Muramuto, students learned about and completed scavenger hunts and activities about the Pueblo region.
Visit us again next week for an update on our next field experience to Glen Eyrie Castle!
