For this field experience, students took a trip to Glen Eyrie Castle! We were greeted by our two tour guides who were very knowledgeable about the castle and Colorado Springs history. William Palmer and his wife, Queen were the creators of this awesome castle, and were very important influencers of the start of our city. The castle is huge- complete with oddly small staircases, tuberculosis rooms, and conference halls. It is now a hotel, but it still has much of its history preserved including its Italian architecture and English stone inspiration. If you are a history buff for Colorado Springs, this is the place to go!
